  • To Cut or Not To Cut?

    That is the question.

    This is my hair today:

I have been growing my hair out since October, and it's grown a total of 2 inches.  Yahoo.  Needless to say, my hair doesn't grow very quickly.  I even went through a phase where I took hair-growing pills and drank 3 large glasses of milk a day, but all that did was give me stomach problems.  So, I grow it out the old-fashioned way.

I have visions of my hair being long and luxurious again, with my fabulous hair straightener and my heat-protectant spray and my frizz-ease doing the work that they are called to do.  See, at one point, I had great hair:

But one day I had this crazy idea to cut it all off, and somewhere along the line, it all went to pot.  And so now I waffle somewhere in the middle, between cute short hair and cute long hair, but nothing in between (but lots of ponytails).

I have a hair appointment scheduled for Wednesday.  So, my question is:
    Let it grow?

or cut it short (without the highlights)?

I've gotta say . . . I kinda like it the way it is now.  I guess I'm no help.

Not that it's any help, I'm in the ponytail stage myself.  I won't cut it shorter till fall though, because I don't like the hair on the neck thing during summer. (That's just me.)  And even then, I'm not sure if I will or not.

But then, my hair typically grows pretty fast.  Takes about 15 months to grow 10-12 inches.  It's varied widely with pregnancy and baby hormones, but that's my normal rate.

Actually, I think you look great with long or short hair. However, since you waited this long, I say grow it out!!!

GROW IT OUT. Maybe when it gets that long again, it'll have that texture too!
